EnvironmentalPolicy

Environmental Policy

Ride by iPakket, operated by iPakket Corporation, establishes this Environmental Policy to define the company’s commitment to responsible shared mobility, environmental care, safe battery management, resource efficiency, and continuous improvement across its operations.

As a mobility company, we recognise that transportation has a direct impact on cities, communities, public space, energy use, emissions, waste, and quality of life. For that reason, our environmental responsibility is not limited to offering electric scooters, e-bikes, or vehicles. It includes how those devices are sourced, operated, charged, maintained, repaired, recovered, and managed at the end of their useful life.

Ride by iPakket does not present shared mobility as a perfect or impact-free solution. Instead, we believe that responsible mobility must be measured by real operational discipline, transparent practices, and a serious commitment to reducing unnecessary environmental impact wherever possible.

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to establish the environmental standards that guide Ride by iPakket’s operations, fleet management, supplier coordination, battery handling, maintenance procedures, waste reduction, and regulatory compliance.

This policy applies to our app-based mobility services, website operations, electric scooters, e-bikes, shared vehicles, warehouses, charging processes, maintenance activities, field operations, contractors, suppliers, and operational partners.

Our objective is to operate a mobility service that supports cleaner, more efficient, and better-organised urban transportation while respecting the environmental expectations of the cities and communities we serve.

Environmental Commitment

Ride by iPakket is committed to operating with environmental responsibility, practical sustainability, and respect for public space.

We seek to reduce avoidable emissions, extend the useful life of our devices, prevent unnecessary waste, manage batteries safely, and improve the efficiency of our daily operations. We understand that environmental responsibility requires more than good intentions. It requires procedures, accountability, supplier control, maintenance discipline, data review, and compliance with applicable regulations.

Our environmental approach is based on realistic action, not exaggerated claims. We do not claim that our operations have no environmental impact. We commit to identifying that impact, reducing it where possible, and improving our practices as technology, regulations, and operational capacity evolve.

Fleet Lifecycle and Responsible Use of Resources

Ride by iPakket seeks to operate devices that are durable, safe, repairable, and appropriate for repeated shared use.

We prioritise preventive maintenance and repair before replacement. A device should not be discarded simply because one component can be repaired or replaced safely. This approach helps reduce waste, extend product life, and improve the overall environmental performance of the fleet.

Where possible, components such as frames, batteries, tyres, brakes, electronic parts, locks, lights, IoT devices, and charging equipment should be inspected, repaired, reused, recycled, or disposed of responsibly according to their condition and applicable regulations.

Lifecycle responsibility is central to our environmental policy. The environmental value of shared mobility depends not only on the fact that a device is electric, but also on how long it lasts, how often it is used, how well it is maintained, and how responsibly it is handled when it reaches the end of its service life.

Battery Safety and Environmental Responsibility

Batteries are a key part of electric mobility and require careful management.

Ride by iPakket is committed to handling batteries with attention to safety, storage, charging, inspection, traceability, recycling, and legal compliance. Damaged, swollen, overheated, irregular, or unsafe batteries must be removed from service and handled according to applicable safety and environmental requirements.

Our battery procedures may include supplier documentation, internal inspections, controlled charging practices, appropriate storage areas, and coordination with qualified recycling or disposal providers where available.

Ride by iPakket may also work with recognised safety, testing, or certification organisations, including UL or equivalent frameworks, to support device and battery safety standards where applicable. These measures are intended to reduce operational risk, improve safety, and support responsible environmental management.

Charging and Energy Use

Ride by iPakket aims to manage charging in a safe, efficient, and responsible manner.

Depending on the market, device type, and local infrastructure, charging may be carried out through direct charging, battery swapping, charging stations, warehouse charging, or other approved methods. Regardless of the method used, our goal is to reduce unnecessary operational trips, avoid unsafe charging practices, monitor battery performance, and improve the efficiency of charging operations.

Where commercially and operationally practical, Ride by iPakket may evaluate renewable or lower-emission energy options. However, the company will not claim that its charging is fully renewable unless supported by verifiable energy records or formal agreements.

Maintenance, Repair, and Waste Reduction

Preventive maintenance is one of the most effective ways to reduce environmental impact in shared mobility.

Ride by iPakket maintains its fleet to protect users, extend device life, reduce breakdowns, and avoid premature disposal. Regular inspection and timely repair help ensure that devices remain safe, functional, and environmentally responsible throughout their service life.

When parts or devices can no longer be used safely, Ride by iPakket will seek to manage them responsibly. Batteries, electronics, tyres, metals, plastics, packaging, and other operational materials should be separated, recycled, recovered, or disposed of through appropriate channels where required or reasonably available.

Hazardous materials, lithium batteries, and electronic waste must not be disposed of through ordinary waste streams when specialised handling is required.

Operational Efficiency and Public Space Management

Environmental responsibility also includes the way the service operates in the city.

Ride by iPakket seeks to reduce unnecessary field operations, excessive fleet movement, inefficient rebalancing, abandoned devices, and disorder in public spaces. Better parking management, data-based deployment, timely recovery, and coordination with local authorities help reduce both operational impact and urban disruption.

A shared mobility service should support the city, not create additional problems for pedestrians, residents, businesses, emergency services, or public agencies. For that reason, Ride by iPakket treats proper parking, accessibility, responsible fleet density, and public right-of-way management as part of its environmental and operational responsibilities.

Suppliers, Contractors, and Partners

Ride by iPakket expects its suppliers, contractors, manufacturers, technology providers, recycling partners, and operational vendors to support responsible environmental and safety practices.

When evaluating partners, the company may consider device durability, battery safety documentation, repairability, availability of spare parts, packaging practices, recycling support, regulatory compliance, and the ability to provide documentation required by cities, insurers, or public authorities.

Ride by iPakket may request technical, environmental, safety, or compliance documentation from suppliers and partners when needed to support due diligence, city applications, internal review, or regulatory requirements.

Compliance and Environmental Claims

Ride by iPakket will operate in accordance with applicable environmental, transport, battery, waste, recycling, product safety, fire safety, and city requirements in each jurisdiction where it provides service.

The company is also committed to responsible environmental communication. We will avoid vague or unsupported claims such as “zero impact,” “fully green,” or “100% sustainable” unless those claims can be properly verified.

Our environmental statements must be accurate, proportionate, and consistent with our actual operations. We believe that public trust is built through transparency, not exaggeration.

Monitoring and Continuous Improvement

Ride by iPakket may review operational and environmental information to improve the way the service is managed.

This may include fleet utilisation, device lifespan, battery replacement, repair frequency, charging activity, recovery trips, operational mileage, recycling records, device downtime, and maintenance performance.

The purpose of reviewing this information is to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, improve safety, support city reporting, strengthen supplier accountability, and make better operational decisions over time.

Ride by iPakket recognises that environmental responsibility is an ongoing process. As technology, regulations, infrastructure, and city expectations evolve, the company will continue improving its environmental procedures and operational standards.
